Howard Wintner,
Director of Litigation
Howard Wintner is a litigation attorney who has handled a wide array of commercial litigation, including complex corporate disputes, art and entertainment law, employment law, insurance coverage, corporate break-ups, defamation, international disputes, a wide variety of contract based disputes, and federal litigation, including RIC antitrust and securities matters. He has substantial experience in intellectual property litigation, and has tried both copyright and trademark cases.
Mr. Wintner has tried many cases in state and federal courts, both jury and non-jury cases. He also has represented clients in arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. He has handled many appeals, both in federal and state court. He handles both damage and injunction matters. He has both partnered with large firms and been retained as co-counsel in numerous matters.
Mr. Wintner received his law degree from The New York University School of Law, where he was on law review and a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Wintner began his career at Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson. He was later a partner at Berger & Steingut, a litigation boutique firm, and was Chairman of its litigation department. He is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of New York and federal courts including: the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Supreme Court.
